Tudor House

Lioncrest Homes sensitively converted the grand Hatfield Rural District Council Offices into 7 luxury apartments. During the conversion works we discovered a box of pristine programmes marking Hatfield’s celebration of the Queens Coronation in 1953. The find was featured in the local press and we posted 100 programmes free of charge to the first 100 readers to contact us. The grand opening of Tudor House was a suitably grand affair. The opening was conducted by Conservative Party Chairman Grant Schapps with the Mayor; Lord Salisbury and the local press in attendance. It was in fact Lord Salisbury’s father, the 4 th Marquess of Salisbury that opened the original offices in 1930. Lioncrest Homes laid on drinks and canapes and a great time was had by all to mark the occasion.
